Race Cancellation: In extreme circumstances, forces beyond our control may lead to the cancellation of this event. Unfortunately, hurricanes, ice storms, acts of human chaos, etc. do occur. If we feel that something is happening that puts our event participants at unnecessary risk, we may choose to, or be required to cancel the event. In the case of a last minute cancellation of the event we will most likely not be able to reschedule the event. If the event is cancelled, it is possible that you will receive no refund of your entry fee. We will however, endeavor to issue refunds, or make other compensation to the extent funds are available to do so. Don't worry, we won't do this unless we deem it absolutely necessary.

All participants are required to follow the rules laid out in our Rules for Competition. However, please use common sense. We also reserve the right to remove any runner who we deem may be putting themselves, other participants, volunteers, spectators, bystanders, etc. in any unnecessary risk.

Rules for Competition

The guiding principles of the Rules for Competition are as simple as: play fair, be safe, and respect the land.  Violations of any rules or directives of the Ironwood Adventure Works Rules for Competition may be grounds for disqualification for one or more years, and/or disqualification from awards.

  1. There will be no unofficial runners.

  2. Each runner’s official run number must be worn prominently on the front of the body and must be easily visible at all times.
